Consumer's Guide to Loan Brokers
Mortgage BrokerIndiana provides borrowers with an excellent resource to help them evaluate mortgage brokers. I found it to be very well written and informative.

Consumer's Guide to Loan Brokers

One of the statistics the report provides is that roughly 80% of residential mortgage loans are originated by a broker. Each broker works with anywhere from 10-70 lenders. I'm sure you've dealt with a few brokers as many of them like to be very involved in the loan signing process. These are individuals who should always receive your business card and possibly a follow up email/letter informing them that you appreciated the opportunity to close their borrower and look forward to any future business they might have.
